7 Tips For Maintaining Balanced Food Habits

Eating habits of the present generation is getting worse day by day. Most of the people don’t care about the quality of food while eating anything. They don’t know the benefits of taking balanced food. You can change your eating habits if you decide to do so. There are some tips to maintain the balanced and good food habits.

1) Avoid excessive intake of fat - Try to reduce as much as fat in your diet. Excessive intake of fat may lead to obesity which in turn may lead to diseases like heart diseases, lungs diseases etc. The main products which contain fat/saturated fats are poultry fat, butter, beef, cream and the dairy products. So limit the fat intake in your diet to avoid diseases.

2) Reduce salt intake - Everyone uses salt in their meals. Eating a lot of salt can contribute to high blood pressure. Reducing the salt in your diet will help you in maintaining balanced food eating habits. The best way to reduce the salt intake is to eat fresh foods. Reducing salt intake will help you in preserving a normal blood pressure.

3) Eat more fruits and vegetables: Fruits and vegetables are the major component of balanced food. They are the great source of vitamins and minerals. They provide lots of energy to body as they are low in calories and rich in fiber. Eating more fruits and vegetables will help you in staying fit and healthy for a long time.

Eating more fruits and vegetables is not a tough task. Choose from the recipes which include fruits and vegetables in them such as fruit salad, stir-fry etc. Eat apples, grapes, peaches, guava as they will provide you lots of vitamins and proteins which will fulfill your desire of maintaining balanced food intake.

4) Never Skip Meals – Never ever skip your meal at any cost. You need to eat each meal to maintain your ideal body weight and keep your body in fit. Eat small meals and snacks throughout the day at regular intervals instead of eating three-four large meals in a day. Try to eat protein enrich food in all your meals so as to regulate your insulin levels.

5) Exercise daily – With proper balanced food, exercise is an important aspect to maintain your health. Try to spare at least 30-40 minutes for physical activity every day. Exercise will keep you fit physically as well as mentally. By adopting appropriate exercises, your body will be in a good shape with healthy digestive system.

6) Get Enough Sleep – Inadequate or incomplete sleep triggers food cravings. More you sleep more fit you will be. In addition to balanced food intake, adequate sleep is very important and necessary. By getting enough sleep you can increase your capabilities of fat burning and reduce your cravings. Try to get at least 7-9 hours of sleep every night.

7) Drink Lots of Water – drink lots of water everyday at regular intervals. Water is responsible for cleaning out all the waste of our body. By taking adequate amount of water everyday you will feel lots of energy and you can do all the daily works actively. Drink at least 3-4 liters of water everyday.
